Go to the Advanced set up screen to select how long the Mesa

should stay on when it is not in use. As mentioned under

“Adjusting the Backlight,” dimming the display backlight saves

baery power. Radios can also use a lot of power. You can

conserve power by disabling them when not in use from the

Home screen or Start > Seings > Connections.

Viewing Battery Status

You can view the status of the baery pack(s) from the Home

screen if the baery gadget is enabled. Depending on the status

of the baery pack(s), one of the following icons is shown:

Baery pack(s) power as a percent

Baery pack(s) charging

Baery pack(s) low

External power in use

Charging error
